World Overview
Dorath is a world where myth and reality are inseparable.
Across fertile kingdoms, ancient forests, towering mountains, and sacred cities, the influence of the divine can be seen in every aspect of life. Temples serve as centers of worship, learning, justice, and community, while festivals mark the cycles of the heavens and the enduring relationship between mortals and the gods.
The people of Dorath believe that creation is not merely an event of the distant past, but an ongoing process. Every act of courage, every work of craftsmanship, every discovery, and every sacrifice contributes to the unfolding story of the world. Legends are remembered not because they are old, but because they continue to shape the lives of those who inherit them.
Beneath the light of three celestial moons, adventurers, scholars, rulers, priests, and wanderers pursue their own paths through a land rich with mystery and meaning. Some seek glory. Some seek wisdom. Some seek the favor of the gods. All are part of a greater story still being written.

The Three Moons
Three celestial moons illuminate the skies of Dorath, shaping its myths, festivals, calendars, and sacred traditions. Known throughout the world as Varyn, Lysara, and Morven, the moons are revered not merely as heavenly bodies, but as divine signs whose movements reflect the deeper order of creation.
Each moon follows its own celestial cycle. Varyn, the Red Moon, completes its course every twenty-three days and is associated with courage, conflict, honor, and ambition. Lysara, the Green Moon, follows a twenty-eight-day cycle and is revered as a symbol of love, beauty, growth, and renewal. Morven, the Blue Moon, completes its passage every thirty-three days and is linked to fate, memory, judgment, and the mysteries of death.
The phases of the moons are carefully observed by priests, scholars, rulers, and common folk alike. Their rising and setting guide holy days, seasonal festivals, pilgrimages, and countless local traditions. Across Dorath, it is said that those who understand the heavens gain insight into the will of the divine.

The Triple Full Moon
Most sacred of all is the Triple Full Moon, a rare celestial convergence that occurs only once every fifty-eight years, when Varyn, Lysara, and Morven shine in perfect fullness together. Entire generations may pass without witnessing the event. Temples prepare for decades, rulers proclaim festivals, and pilgrims travel great distances to stand beneath the united light of the Three. Many believe that destinies are revealed, ancient powers awaken, and extraordinary creatures emerge beneath their combined radiance.
To the people of Dorath, the moons are more than lights in the night sky. They are enduring symbols of mystery, meaning, and the sacred bond between the mortal world and the divine.

The Divine Pantheon
The people of Dorath worship a vast pantheon of gods whose influence can be seen in every kingdom, city, village, and temple throughout the world. From the first moments of creation to the turning of the seasons, the rise of kingdoms, the fortunes of war, and the mysteries of love and death, the divine powers are believed to shape every aspect of existence.
At the center of Dorathian belief stands Fabrax, the Creator, from whom all things ultimately emerged. Around Fabrax stand twelve additional deities representing the great forces that govern the world: light and darkness, law and chaos, fire and earth, air and water, wisdom and war, love and death. Together they form the sacred order through which creation is understood.
Temples dedicated to the gods can be found across Dorath, ranging from humble roadside shrines to magnificent cathedrals that draw pilgrims from distant lands. Priests preserve ancient traditions, interpret sacred teachings, and guide communities through life's most important moments. Holy festivals mark the movements of the moons, the changing of the seasons, and the deeds of the gods themselves.
While every culture and kingdom honors the pantheon in its own way, the divine remains a living presence throughout Dorath. Some seek the blessings of Lucella's light. Others fear the influence of Dragnar's darkness. Warriors invoke Wrenthor before battle, while scholars look to Morlynd for wisdom. Across the world, countless stories, rituals, and legends reflect humanity's enduring relationship with the gods.
The Pantheon of Dorath is more than a collection of deities. It is a living cosmology that shapes faith, culture, history, and identity throughout the Sacred World of Creation.
