Unlike stars, planets, and civilizations, the Weave is never still. It flows across the cosmos in vast currents of resonance, shaping the pathways through which worlds communicate, trade, explore, and grow. Regions of strong resonance become centers of connection, while regions of weak resonance drift into isolation.
The civilizations of Caelestris do not merely inhabit space. They inhabit the Weave.

No Constellation is inherently superior to another. Each expresses a different way in which worlds, peoples, and cultures relate to one another through the Weave.

Nexus Worlds are worlds located within regions of exceptionally strong resonance in the Weave. These regions, known as Nexus Regions, act as natural points of convergence where pathways, civilizations, knowledge, cultures, and travelers come together. Because the Weave governs the degree of connection between distant places, worlds situated within strong Nexus Regions often become centers of influence whose significance extends far beyond their local star systems.
Unlike political capitals or imperial strongholds, Nexus Worlds are not created by governments, treaties, or institutions. Their importance emerges from the structure of the Weave itself. As resonance strengthens, worlds become crossroads of exchange, exploration, pilgrimage, and discovery. As resonance weakens, even the greatest centers of civilization may decline, giving way to new worlds rising elsewhere in the galaxy. Throughout history, the movement of the Nexus has shaped the rise and fall of civilizations more profoundly than any empire or ruler.
